Science, any system of knowledge that is concerned with the physical world and its phenomena and that entails unbiased observations and systematic experimentation. In general, a science involves a pursuit of knowledge covering general truths or the operations of fundamental laws.
ADVANTAGES OF SCIENCE
There are many advantages of science and technology. Modern man is a happy man and a comfortable man having so many electronic gadgets for their help and convenience such as laptop, computer, bullet trains and the list is endless. Needless to say that , modern man has conquered the whole world. Due to the development of science and technology, we have found cure for some fatal diseases and incredible advancements in medicine and surgery. It also help in communicating a message to a large number of people in a very short period of time or only a few second. World is shrinking because of development in science and technology. It also helps in the development of transport system as in olden days, to reach a far away place it takes very much time to reach that place. But now, due to the development of technology it takes less time to reach for a particular place.
As their are two sides of a coin, science has its disadvantages also.
DISADVANTAGES OF SCIENCE
Due to the development in science, man has become lazy and dependent on the electronic gadgets. Due to industrialization , trees are being cut indiscriminately which led to soil pollution, floods, air pollution and many more problems. Modern man become atheist, corrupted, self centred as they don't realise on good virtues and values.
Another great invention is mobile phones as it provide many facilities to us but children are misusing by always playing games, surfing in internet which affects their eyes as well in their studies. With the help of science, man has invented atom bomb, nuclear bomb and many weapons which can destroy the world.
Instead of using science for the destruction of mankind, we should for the betterment of mankind and for the development of civilization. With the help of science, we can also find cure for the environmental problems. So, we should use science responsibly for help in our services.
